A mountain with many levels.
Courchevel is not a single village but a sequence of mountain communities at different elevations. Each has its own character, from older hamlets to contemporary chalets and access to the Three Valleys ski area. The destination cannot be reduced to one setting or one style of stay.
A walk might begin around Courchevel 1850, valley hamlets and Tarentaise forests. These landmarks are different, yet together they reveal the identity of Courchevel: a sense of place, architectural memory and everyday habits. Across the Three Valleys, visitors and residents do not necessarily see the same things. The destination deserves more than a handful of familiar images.
