Between the lake and the old town.
Geneva is often defined by international institutions, yet it also reveals itself on foot: the cobbled Old Town, Saint Pierre Cathedral and the quays along Lake Geneva. The lake opens up the view while the historic streets retain a quieter scale. Both belong to the same city.
A walk might begin around Saint Pierre Cathedral, the Old Town streets and Lake Geneva quays. These landmarks are different, yet together they reveal the identity of Genève: a sense of place, architectural memory and everyday habits. Across the Lake Geneva region, visitors and residents do not necessarily see the same things. The destination deserves more than a handful of familiar images.
